This mineral rich pale pink salt known as "Sal de Maras" in Peru comes from a small stream high up in the Andes (4000m/17,500ft) which fills thousands of pools. It is unclear who built these ancient evaporation structures. Today, workers still hand-harvest this intensely flavorful salt that contains a staggering 84 minerals!
